Megan Munson is a NYC based Pilates instructor and NASM CPT with over five years of experience teaching Pilates, Mat, and Apparatus. She has over twenty years of dance training and has a BFA from Chapman University where she also minored in Kinesiology. In college she became Balanced Body Mat certified, which spurred her love of understanding the body and desire to find creative ways of helping others. After moving to the big apple in 2015 she received a 500-hr Pilates Apparatus certification and began teaching at Balanced Pilates NYC before transitioning to other prestigious gyms and studios as well as spending time learning under physical therapists.
She has experience working with diverse populations of all ages and levels, from physical therapy patients to elite athletes. She continues expanding her expertise by participating in specialized workshops covering prenatal Pilates, injury prevention, and more.
Her teaching style is creative and challenging; she strongly believes Pilates is for everyone and anybody. Incorporating elements of cardio and yoga training adds variety to the typically Classic technique of Pilates and it elevates results. She undoubtedly knows that everyone is stronger than they think and pushes people to realize this for themselves.
